we have created a lovely children’s playground set amongst the shady trees, loads of picnic areas dotted throughout the property and plenty of flora and fauna throughout the natural bushland to stroll and enjoy.
For the sports orientated we have a full size tennis court, beach volley ball court, a large grassed area which we use for soccer, football and cricket.
There is plenty of sporting equipment available for all to use.
Bird watching is a must with an abundance of local birds calling Freshwater Creek Cottages their home.
Take a stroll through the property looking for echidnas and other wildlife.
Children will find themselves caught up in all that country life has to offer.
Between making cubby houses in the bush lands, collecting eggs in the morning, picking fruit from the orchard, or riding bikes through the natural paths on the property.
Horse riding, surfing, fishing and golfing are among the large range of activities on offer in the vicinity.
No matter the season, no matter the day there are always a group of girls we can count on to deliver. our free-range chooks supply us with 40+ big delicious eggs every single day. we love the versatility of a frittata - you can put almost anything in it! We love using up our leftover veggies and mixing through our paddock-raised bacon and plenty of fresh herbs picked from our garden.
Sometimes simple is best and nothing quite beats your classic meat and two vege. This is an incredibly simple dish using juicy Freshwater Creek Cottages free-range pork fillet. We have happy animals on our farm and we’re told that you can definitely tell in the quality of our meat.
As the months get cooler there really is nothing better than a hearty pasta dish to warm up! These meatballs and juicy and moist and of course are made with our grass-fed beef. An Ottelenghi recipe that we promise will stay on your meal rotations.

Spring is an exciting time of year, the days become warmer and the nights longer. The gardens are exploding with flowers, the grass is green and with first taste of a balmy night, the bbq fires up. Spring is such a beautiful time of year here in Freshwater Creek. As the winter frost fades and leaves start to appear on the trees, It amazes us every year how vibrant and green everything becomes. This year we’ve had our best year yet for farming at Freshwater Creek Cottages. We are feeling very grateful that our hard work in the fields is paying off and we’re being rewarded with our very own chemical-free, paddock-raised beef. Although all of our cabins are fully equipped with kitchens you may want to treat yourself to a meal out. Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner there are plenty of amazing restaurants on the Surf Coast, here are just a couple that spring to mind.
Winter is birthday season on the farm and is without a doubt our busiest time of the year. Almost everyday we welcome a new baby farm animal which keeps our hands busy and our hearts full.
